Les Queues de Sardines creates stockings and tights notable for their unconventional and unique graphic style. With a narrative humor - the result is a an unconventional presentation of applying a non permanent design to the legs. What I find most interesting here is not just the use of illustration, but the use of background colour, something that should be considered further in make up application. Why go with the natural skin colour? It begins to question societies fascination with tanning, why brown ( or in some cases orange!) when there are so many possible colours in the spectrum. When fake colouration of the skin is on the increase, why stop at a limited colour range?
